Last updated September 9, 2026. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
FamilyPoints is a web application that helps a family track points for chores, schoolwork and behavior. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. Children use FamilyPoints through a family account created and managed by an adult; they don't agree to anything and they don't have accounts of their own.
You're responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@familypointstracker.com if you think someone else has got into it.
Anyone who accepts one of your invite links joins your family and can see and change your family's points, children and tasks. Anyone holding your read-only link, or your family's child login link, can see your family's balances and activity. Share all of these carefully; they are the keys to your family's data.
The names, tasks, notes, points and history you put into FamilyPoints belong to you. We store and process them to run the service for you, and for nothing else. We don't claim any ownership of them and we don't use them to advertise anything.
You agree not to use FamilyPoints to store anything unlawful, to abuse or harass anyone, to break into other families' data, to disrupt the service, or to resell access to it.
If we ever change the price, we'll tell existing subscribers by email before it applies to them, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
You can delete your account from the settings page whenever you want. If you're the only adult in your family, deleting your account also deletes the family's children, tasks and point history, and cancels any subscription. This can't be undone, so export or write down anything you want to keep first.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, to harm someone, or to attack the service. If we do, we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
We work hard to keep FamilyPoints running, accurate and safe, and we fix problems quickly. But FamilyPoints is provided "as is". We can't guarantee it will always be available, that it will never lose data, or that it will fit every family's way of doing things.
Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected to FamilyPoints is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law says can't be limited.
Points inside FamilyPoints are a number your family agrees on. The reward budget feature can display a dollar value for them to help you plan, but that's an arithmetic aid, not a balance we hold. Points have no cash value, we don't hold funds on anyone's behalf, and what a point is worth in your house is entirely between you and your kids.
We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top, and we'll email account holders before any significant change takes effect. Continuing to use FamilyPoints after that means you accept the new terms.
